Mr. W.C. Woodworth Re: Water Issues affecting Monterey Peninsula Dear Mr. Woodworth: Thank you for your letter to the Del Monte Forest Land Use Advisory Committee concerning a recent agenda containing repeated references to "water, sewage, and storm drain updates." As you stated, lacking therefrom was language enjoining control and management of storm water and runoff. Mention of the subject matter without reference to controls as an issue requiring equal consideration is, understandably, a matter of concern. Perhaps, efforts are made to keep agenda items brief, without, however, precluding legitimate issues affecting those items being discussed at the meeting itself. In any case, your bringing this to our attention impels us to face these issues and, within our area of responsibility, seek effectives watershed management as a vital resource and protective environmental measure. You may be interested in the attached copy of the minutes of our most recent meeting. I trust that I have representedaccurately your views as expressed at that meeting.

Excerpts from DMLUAC Minutes of the Meeting on August 30, 2001 "Mr. W.C.Woodworth, member of public, expressed his dismay over public agencies' failure to address issues of storm water and watershed management and reservoirs for runoffs. Mr. Woodworth plans to continue to raise these matters with responsible agencies in an effort to control, capture, and cleanse runoff and flooding from rainfall, including beach areas in Pacific Grove, Presidio of Monterey, and Cal Trans Highways.
