Amy Krupski, Harpist

With a background in classical piano, California harpist, Amy Krupski, first studied on the concert pedal harp in 1980 and later added the concert folk/lever harps to her collection of instruments to accommodate her broad range of musical styles. Though-out her twenty-five years as a performing artist, Amy has played in concerts as a solo harpist and in ensembles with other instrumentalists, singers and storytellers. She is most proud of the large following of patrons who attended her annual Celtic Christmas concerts, a well-loved tradition on the Monterey Peninsula, between 1986 and 2006 and the Best Performing Artist award presented in her home town by the Pacific Grove Arts Commission in 2001. When on land she continues to enjoy playing at weddings, receptions and other fine events on the Monterey Peninsula and California's central coast.

Since 2007 Amy has enjoyed playing background harp music in specialty restaurants, at high teas and at informal settings on several Celebrity cruise ships earning high guest ratings. She continues to add to her wide repertoire of music selections and styles from classical to contemporary; from calypso to Celtic. She also enjoys playing music from many world cultures and takes pride in her ability to play tunes by ear, improvising with artful arrangements, upon request.

Amy's two self-produced CDs, SEA HARP and CELTIC ECHOES, have sold nationally and internationally for the past fifteen years. Her harp playing, whether recorded or live, is appreciated for masterful technique, heartfelt musicianship and consummate good taste.
