Reply-To: spacelodge@earthlink.net Hi I attended Roy Kady's Mom's Lightningway Sandpainting Ceremony today near Red Mesa, AZ. It's a 5 day ceremony, today being the first day. I know quite a few of these Navajos already and met a lot more. Several elder medicine men live in this area, one being the fellow who conducted our House Blessingway a year ago Feb. He is helping out but not officiating at this one. I'll be out there again tomorrow at 7am for the sweat lodge and first round of sandpaintings. Here is a photo of the butchered goat of Roy's hanging up and being carved by the mom of Robert and Alex, two younger Navajos who came with Roy's family when they visited us in Cardiff...
