Hannelore H.Cole: member of Blacksheep Weaving Guild and Trampornas Weaving Guild As a native of Berlin, Germany, I studied and practiced the craft of handweaving according to the very traditional training taught there.I strongly feel the need to teach and share with the community the ancient craft of handweaving as an art form.My main emphasis is education as an expression of one's personal choice through awareness of inner feelings and creativity. I was introduced to Navajo weaving in late 1970s by Mary Black when I took my first workshop with Sarah (Begay ) Natani to learn weaving the Navajo Way. I purchased Custom Handweavers in 1982, a Weaving Studio, to follow my goal and my dream to keep handweaving alive. Since 1986 I returned many times for continued studies with Sarah to Table Mesa, NM. I teach children through the Palo Alto Art program and offer continuous classes in weaving and spinning for adults in my Studio. Traditions, yarns, books, weaving and spinning equipment and encouragement are all part of my business. You may visit me in my Studio and come to our Ashtl'o guild meetings or visit my web site at the addresses below. Hannelore H.
